University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout Hannah Price has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Apr. 1, 2018.

Price guided the Pacers to a 2-2 week.

The 5-9 junior pitcher was outstanding in the circle in two games and solid at the plate in all four outings.

The Seneca, S.C., native tossed two shutouts on the week. In her first outing at Claflin, Price threw a five-hit, seven inning shutout in just 84 pitches. She struck out four and didn’t walk anyone.

In the nightcap against Young Harris, Price threw 150 pitches in the nine-inning, 1-0 victory. She struck out six batters in the contest and held the Mountain Lions to just six hits.

At the plate, Price went eight-for-12 for the week. She posted three multi-hit games, including two games with three hits apiece. For the week, Price accounted for three doubles and four RBI. She also scored a run.
