University of South Carolina Aiken women’s tennis standout Kayla Calvert has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 11, 2018.

Calvert is a senior from Aiken, S.C.

The South Aiken H.S. product went 4-0 last week, helping the Pacers go 2-0 as a team. She picked up her first career win at the No. 1 singles slot against Clark Atlanta, winning by scores of 6-2, 6-3. Against CAU, Calvert was part of the winning doubles team by an 8-0 count.

In the 8-1 win over Coker, she notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Calvert was part of the winning No. 3 doubles squad against the Cobras, tallying an 8-1 victory.
