AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken Division of Athletics has announced the promotion of
Brent Hager to Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, recognizing his outstanding leadership and transformative impact on Pacer Athletics over the past 13 years.
Hager has served as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications since joining USCA, overseeing the Division's strategic communications efforts for all 10 NCAA varsity sports and the Spirit Squad. His responsibilities include media relations, website management, social media strategy, live video production, photography, branding, and historical archiving.

Todd Wilkinson said the promotion reflects Hager's invaluable contributions to the Division's growth and visibility.
"Brent has been instrumental in elevating the visibility and reputation of Pacer Athletics," said Wilkinson. "His passion for telling the stories of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs has significantly strengthened our brand while creating meaningful connections with alumni, fans, recruits, and the campus community. He has embraced innovation, preserved the rich history of our athletics Division, and consistently positioned USCA Athletics among the leaders in Division II athletic communications. Brent's professionalism, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence make him highly deserving of this promotion and an important member of our executive leadership team."
Under Hager's leadership, USCA Athletics has experienced a dramatic transformation in its digital communications. Live coverage has expanded from limited broadcasts to comprehensive streaming of every home athletic contest, including nationally recognized events such as the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
Hager has also led the Division's efforts to preserve the history of Pacer Athletics through an extensive archival initiative. His work has digitized decades of schedules, rosters, statistics, records, biographies, publications, and more than 600 photo galleries spanning over 35 years, ensuring the legacy of USCA Athletics is preserved for future generations.
Beyond his daily communications responsibilities, Hager has served as a mentor to aspiring athletic communications professionals while continually enhancing the visibility, accessibility, and overall fan experience surrounding USCA Athletics.
Hager holds bachelor's degrees in Business Administration (Accounting) and Sport Management, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
As Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, Hager will continue leading the Division's communications strategy while serving as a member of the athletics executive leadership team, helping advance the mission and continued growth of Pacer Athletics.
