ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 14 USCA golf team is in fifth place after the first day of competition at the PBC Championship, which is hosted by Flagler.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team opened the 54-hole event by shooting six-over par, 294. Georgia Southwestern leads the field at eight-under par, 280. USC Beaufort is second at two-under par, 286. Columbus State shot even-par, 288, while the host Saints posted a score of one-over par, 289, Sunday afternoon. North Georgia and Lander are tied for sixth at seven-over par, 295. Georgia College is eighth (+21, 309).
Mitchell McNeill is in third place after shooting three-under par, 69. After recording a bogey on No. 8, McNeill fired birdies on No. 9, No. 14, No. 15 and No. 18.
Cameron Baez is 17
th after recording a score of one-over par, 73. He accounted for five birdies for the round. Baez was the lone Pacer to garner birdies on No. 5, No. 8 and No. 11.
Hugo Boyer and
Ian Williams are tied for 27
th. The duo shot four-over par, 76. Boyer notched birdies on No. 9 and No. 14 while Williams accounted for birdies on No. 9, No. 14 and No. 18.
Karl Frisk is 39th after shooting nine-over par, 81. His lone birdie occurred on No. 13.
