ALBANY, Ga. –
Greta Ohlwein netted a pair of first-half goals and dished out an assist as the USCA women's soccer team raced past Albany State 4-0 Wednesday afternoon in the PBC opener.
The Pacers are now 4-1-1 on the season, including a 1-0 ledger in conference action.
Head coach
Adam Kleman's team wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. In the 18
th minute of action,
Lexi Blasberg found Ohlwein for the one-goal advantage. At the 24:54 mark,
Ashtyn Ivey connected with Ohlwein for the quick 2-0 advantage.
Kleman's team extended the margin to 3-0 at the 33:05 mark.
Hannah DeVincent found
Ellie Thompson for the goal. It marked the first assist of DeVincent's young career.
Just 7:23 into the second period, Ohlwein connected with
Shy Iles for the fourth and final tally of the match. It was Iles' second goal of the season.
For the match,
Savannah Yerger recorded the clean sheet. She played all 90 minutes and tallied a save.
Ohlwein registered two goals and an assist in the match while Iles and Thompson netted goals. DeVincent, Blasberg and Ivey distributed assists in the victory.
Blasberg and Ohlwein tallied four shots apiece, including two on goal each.
Reese Agnew, Iles and Ivey had two shots each. All three placed one shot on goal.
Haley Howell posted a shot. DeVincent accounted for four shots, including one on goal.
Gillian Young garnered two shots on goal while
Rylie Graul had a shot on frame.
Samantha Koneval and
Molly Courchesne had shots.
