AIKEN, S.C. – The USCA men's soccer team lost a 4-0 decision to Southern Wesleyan in the home opener Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 0-1-1 on the season while the Warriors improve to 2-0.

Nick Sakiewicz's team earned a corner kick just 2:29 into the match, but the squad was unable to post a shot on the possession. USCA had numerous shots that were blocked or narrowly missed over the next 20 minutes of action.
After a foul in the box at the 25:09 mark, SWU was awarded a penalty kick and the visitors made it 1-0 by converting the shot. In the 25
th minute, SWU extended the margin to 2-0.
Eight minutes into the second half, USCA had a brilliant cross into the box, but the squad was unable to record a shot on the pass.
An inadvertent handball in the box resulted in another penalty kick by the visitors, which they converted at the 54:40 mark.
SWU tacked on a goal with just under 11 minutes remaining for a 4-0 lead.
Kenny Kwizera Jr., tallied five shots while
Frankie Martinez,
Rafael Reno and
Damian Rogers had two shots apiece.
For the match, USCA tallied 12 shots, including two on goal. The squad earned seven corner kicks.
Felipe Mattos played all 90 minutes between the pipes.
