AIKEN, S.C. – USCA, in conjunction with Director of Athletics Todd Wilkinson, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jessica Woods as its Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Compliance.

"USCA athletics is excited to welcome Jessica Woods to our leadership team as Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Compliance," Wilkinson said. "Jessica is a dynamic professional whose passion for student-athlete well-being and operational excellence is immediately evident. Her legal background gives us a competitive edge as we navigate the ever-changing world of NCAA rules, and her energy and expertise will elevate our entire department."

"I'm incredibly grateful to Todd Wilkinson and Dexter Harris for their trust and support in giving me this opportunity to serve as the Associate AD for Internal Operations and Compliance," Woods said. "From the moment I stepped foot on campus, USCA has been a truly welcoming and supportive community, and my husband, Jono, and I are looking forward to joining the Pacer family.

"I can't wait to collaborate with the coaches, staff, and entire team to build on the strong foundation already in place—and most importantly, I'm excited to meet and build relationships with the incredible student-athletes who make this such a special place."

Woods joins USCA from Lubbock Christian University, where she was the Deputy Athletic Director, Compliance Director and Senior Woman Administrator during her second stint with the institution.

While with the Chaparrals, she oversaw the university's compliance programs, including eligibility certification, recruiting monitoring, and educational initiatives. She also led the development and implementation of departmental policies and managed daily internal operations, including facility oversight, gameday supervision, and budget management.

She arrived on campus in February 2024 after spending nearly two years at Georgia Southern as the Assistant Director of NCAA Compliance. Her responsibilities included interpreting NCAA rules and regulations, developing and implementing compliance policies, supporting educational efforts, and managing financial aid documentation.

Prior to her time with the Eagles, Woods was the Assistant A.D. for compliance and Senior Woman Administrator at Lubbock Christian for a year before taking the position at Georgia Southern. She oversaw compliance, managed life skills and rules education programs and completed annual reporting for the department.

Woods spent two years as the senior legal intern at The University of Alabama, monitoring and ensuring compliance of the recruiting process. She also served as the primary point of contact for Agent Day and was the lead student attorney for the Elite Athlete Program.

Woods spent time as a student attorney at The University of Alabama School of Law Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Clinic and was an event operations coordinator at Valdosta State for a year.

She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Mass Media from Valdosta State before earning her Master of Science in Sports Business Management at The University of Alabama as well as her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law.
