AIKEN, S.C. - USCA Athletics regrets to share the passing of legendary former head coach and Hall of Fame member Johanna Gibbs, who passed away Thursday, Sept. 11.

After giving rise to the volleyball program in 1978, Gibbs compiled an 81-29 career mark in three seasons, again holding the record for best winning percentage (.736). She won the NAIA District 6 Tournament title in 1980.

Burial will be private with the funeral service to follow Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. John's Methodist Church. Following the service, the family will receive friends at a reception in the church fellowship hall.
