MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The USCA softball team lost a 2-1 decision at Georgia College Friday evening in the first game of the three-game series.
The Pacers are now 13-14 on the season, including 2-5 in PBC play.

Jaclin Poole's team jumped on top with a run in the top of the first.
Lydia Johnson started things off with an infield single. She moved to second on a throwing error. After taking third on a sacrifice bunt from
Autumn Fisher,
Mallory Shaver accounted for the RBI with a single to the shortstop.
Tara McGee recorded a base hit and
Madison Rogers walked in the second, but both were left stranded. USCA had a chance to add to the lead in the fifth.
Ashlyn White led off the stanza with a single but was erased on a fielder's choice. Fisher laid down a bunt for a hit, putting two on. However, the team was unable to push across another run.
The Bobcats managed to get the first two runners on base in the seventh and eventually plate two runs with two outs.
For the game, Fisher, Johnson, McGee, Shaver and White had hits. Shaver drove in Johnson for the team's lone run.

Payton Baker went the distance. She gave up two runs, one of which was earned. Baker allowed six hits and had two strikeouts against just one walk.
