ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The USCA women's basketball team lost a 62-49 decision at Flagler Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 2-7 on the season, including 0-3 in PBC play.

Brittany Batts' team was led by
Mackenna Nix's 19-point, five-rebound effort.
Mahkayla Premo added 10 points, five boards and three assists.
Destiny Harman hit two three-point buckets and snagged two rebounds while
Morgan McDermott added five points and three rebounds.
Monique Emelifeonwu totaled four points, eight rebounds and four blocks while
Zenia Palaska notched four markers.
Ioanna Stefanaki had a point, five rebounds and a pair of steals while
Riley Miller had two steals and two boards.
After trailing 16-8 heading into the second quarter, USCA outscored the home team 15-14 in the second stanza. Trailing 27-10, Nix took a pass from Premo and promptly buried a three-point bucket at the 5:10 mark. Just over a minute later, Emelifeonwu connected with Harman, who buried a three-ball. With 3:13 on the clock, Harman took a pass from Premo and drilled another shot from distance. Emelifeonwu's lay-up with 2:41 to go trimmed the deficit to six, 27-21. Flagler held a 30-23 edge at the break.
Down 32-23, Nix hit three free throws and a lay-up in a 52-second span. Nix connected with McDermott for a three-point bucket, pulling the Pacers within three at 34-31 with 8:00 to play in the third period. Palaska found McDermott cutting to the basket with 1:02 to go, but the Saints answered with a basket for a 51-42 edge entering the final quarter.
Nix's lay-up to start the fourth-quarter scoring made it a seven-point contest, but that was as close as the visitors could get the rest of the way. Trailing 59-46, Nix hit a pair of free throws and Premo canned one with 2:06 remaining.
For the game, USCA hit 16-of-53 from the floor. The squad buried five three-point shots and hit 12-of-21 from the charity stripe. Batts' team pulled down 35 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass. The Pacers dished out 10 assists and had eight steals. USCA tallied 13 points off turnovers and netted 20 markers in the lane.
