CHARLESTON, S.C. – The USCA women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision at Charleston Southern Wednesday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 5-5-2 on the season.
Head coach
Adam Kleman's team was led by
Lexi Blasberg's goal in the hard-fought loss.
Down 2-0 at the break, USCA continued to push forward and at the 60:28 mark, the visitors sliced the deficit to just one at 2-1.
Greta Ohlwein found Blasberg for a shot to the lower right corner of the frame to make it a one-score match.
Charleston Southern recorded two goals late in the match, securing the three-goal win.
For the match, USCA posted five shots, including three on goal. Kleman's team earned a pair of corner kicks.
Blasberg and
Shy Iles had two shots apiece.
Reese Agnew registered the team's other attempt. All three placed one shot on goal apiece.
Between the pipes,
Savannah Yerger played all 90 minutes and stopped six shots.
