FLORENCE, S.C. – The USCA volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision at Francis Marion Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 5-7 on the season.

Glenn Cox's team was led by
Anna Sommer's 13-kill, three-block effort. She hit .444 in the contest.
Bailey Corrigan notched a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs to go along with four blocks.
Tucker Patterson hammered home eight kills while
Lexi Rogers totaled five kills and seven digs.
Alli Bishop chipped in four kills.
Sidney Hogan accounted for 22 assists and 10 digs in the double-double effort while
Madison Fox contributed 13 assists and seven digs.
Defensively, Kria Bostick accounted for 17 digs. She also chipped in a pair of aces.
Ana Cate Loftus added nine digs.
Leading 7-6 in the opening frame, Patterson hammered home a pass from Fox. Sommer's kill pushed the margin to three, 9-6. Up 12-9,
Chloe Duzenack slammed home a kill. Corrigan added a point. Two plays later,
Avery Pearson pushed the score to 16-9. Cox's team cruised to the 25-16 victory in the frame.
Corrigan knotted the third set at 13-13. The back-and-forth affair saw the Patriots take a 15-13 lead before Avery Parson and Corrigan blocked an attempt. Patterson tied the set at 15-15 on a kill. Trailing 21-19, Corrigan and Pearson combined for a block. Moments later, Patterson made it 23-22 with a kill, but FMU managed to hold on for the win.
Down 22-12, USCA pulled within six after kills from Bishop and Sommer. A point from Pearson made it 23-19, but the Patriots took the set 25-21.
For the match, USCA totaled 44 kills and dished out 42 assists. The team had four solo blocks and 14 combined blocks. The team tallied 68 digs.
