CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The USCA men's cross country team took ninth at the Queens City Invite Friday afternoon while newcomer
Luis Cruzado bested the 8k school record Friday afternoon.
Emory won the meet while Wingate and Davidson rounded out the medal stand in the 12-team field.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by Cruzado's time of 26:31.1, which was good enough for 27
thplace. The time established his second school record in as many meets. The mark was 46 seconds faster than the previous 8k for USCA.
Evan McLeod established a personal-best mark of 28:13.32, which was good enough for 46
th place.
Zachary Haase notched a time of 28:26.13 for 51
st place while
Jacobo Garcia-Rivera crossed the line in 28:31.92 for 54
th place.
Julio Rojas was not far behind Garcia-Rivera, garnering a mark of 29:00.60 for 64
th place.
Jase Wilson tallied a mark of 29:28.77 for 69
th while
Riley Campbell crossed the line in 30:48.96 for 75
th.
The Pacers return to action Saturday, Sept. 28 when they compete at the Akiah McMillan Invitational.
