GREENWOOD, S.C. – The USC Aiken baseball team lost a 10-0 decision at Lander Friday evening in the first game of the three-game series.

The Pacers are now 9-27 on the year, including a 5-11 ledger in league play.

Down 2-0 in the second stanza, Luke Parker registered a one-out single to left field. Dalton Graves was hit by a pitch, putting two runners on base, but the team could not push across any runs. Sharp reached on a single in the third. Joseph Mozingo reached on an error in the fourth, but was erased on an inning-ending fielder's choice.

In the fifth inning, Kaden Usry singled to left field. Cade Bouknight laid down a bunt single, putting two on. The duo moved up 90 feet when Jack Hobson recorded a perfect sacrifice bunt. However, a line-drive double play ended the threat.

In the sixth, Brock Myers led off the inning and was hit by a pitch. He stole second, but three consecutive outs concluded the frame.

The Bearcats plated eight runs in the eighth for the final margin.

For the game, Bouknight, Hobson, Myers, Parker and Sharp all had hits. Usry also registered a walk in the contest.
