NEWTON, N.C. – The No. 7 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team recorded a 10
th-place finish at the Wofford Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
The tournament took place at the Catawba Country Club, which is a par-70 course spanning 6,683 yards.
The Pacers shot 36-over par, 876, for the 54-hole event. The team posted scores of 300-295-281.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Jonah Winter's 16
th-place effort. He registered a team-best 68 over the final 18 holes of play to finish at six-over par, 216.
Rory McDonald O'Brien and
Erik Olin tied for 26
th after notching scores of nine-over par, 219. McDonald O'Brien shot even-par, 70, on Tuesday while Olin garnered a one-over par, 71.
Oscar Abrahamsson wrapped up the event by tying for 65
th.
Nick Goellner shot two-over par, 72, for the final round of action.
The Pacers return to action this week when they take part in the PBC Championships.
