ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 24 University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team raced past Flagler Wednesday evening with a 102-83 victory.
The Pacers are now 17-4 overall, including 8-3 in league play.

Mark Vanderslice's team was led by
Tehree Horn's 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting. He added eight rebounds and five assists.
Tyler Johnson tallied 23 points and seven rebounds while
Jameel Rideout accounted for 18 points.
Simeon German totaled 13 points, eight boards and three blocks while
Rhyjon Blackwell netted nine points.
Down by one in the early going, Horn scored six consecutive points for a 19-14 edge at the 14:18 mark. Leading 19-18, Horn buried two charity tosses before finding Johnson for a three-ball, pushing the advantage to six, 24-18.
Tied at 27-27, German converted a three-point play but the Saints took a 32-30 lead at the 7:42 mark. The back-and-forth affair saw the score tied at 36-36 before Johnson recorded a three-point play. Leading 39-38, German hit a lay-up before Johnson slammed home a dunk at the 3:14 mark.
Up 43-41, Johnson found the bottom of the net for two points. With 1:31 to play, Horn swung the ball to
Devin Evans in the corner for a three-ball. On the ensuing possession, Johnson kicked the ball to Horn who drilled a shot from 25 feet out, giving the Pacers a 51-41 lead at the break.
Flagler made it a six-point game but Johnson responded with a three-point play at the 13:40 mark, extending the score to 67-58. Evans tipped the ball in, Johnson made an inside shot and Rideout drained a three-point bucket for a 16-point edge with 11:55 to play. During the spurt,
Demitrios Dixon had a pair of outstanding assists.
Moments later, Vanderslice's team had a quick 7-0 spurt for an 83-63 edge. The final three points in the run came via Dixon off a pass from Blackwell at the 8:05 mark.
USC Aiken led 94-83 with 3:20 to go. The Pacers closed the game on an 8-0 run. During the waning moments, Johnson drilled a jumper. Horn and Rideout hit lay-ups before Dixon's bucket concluded the scoring with 38 ticks remaining.
For the game, Vanderslice's team drilled an astonishing 40-of-60 (66.7 percent) from the floor, including a sensational 14-of-23 (60.9 percent) from the three-point line. The squad buried eight-of-10 (80.0 percent) from the charity stripe. USC Aiken outrebounded the home team 39-26 and led for 35:30. The team outscored the Saints 38-28 in the paint.
