Each week, USC Aiken will post notes. This week, the Pacers host Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 14, before playing at Columbus State on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Sizzling Against The Saints

It seemed as if head coach Mark Vanderslice's team could not miss at Flagler. The Pacers buried an astounding 40-of-60 from the floor (66.7 percent). The team hit shots from everywhere in the game – draining 14-of-23 from the three-point line (60.9 percent) and eight-of-10 (80.0 percent) from the charity stripe.  

Two Over 20

In the road win against Flagler, USC Aiken had a pair of Pacers register at least 20 points. Tehree Horn accounted for a game-best 27 points on 11-of-13 shooting from the floor while Tyler Johnson canned nine-of-17 shots from the field for 23 points. 

Extra Periods

Last week, USC Aiken played a double-overtime contest against Augusta. It marked the second game that the Pacers played extra time in this season. It also marked the first double-overtime contest for USC Aiken since a 98-93 victory at Georgia Southwestern on Jan. 15, 2022.

Five In Double Figures

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team placed five student-athletes in double figures against Augusta. Tehree Horn led the way with a team-high 24 points while Simeon German tallied 18 markers. Tyler Johnson netted 17 points while Jameel Rideout and Rhyjon Blackwell added 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Inside The Numbers

This week, the Pacers host Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday, Feb. 14, before playing at Columbus State on Saturday, Feb. 17. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 146-136 (51.8 percent) in Wednesday games and 238-180 (56.9 percent) in Saturday contests. During the same time, the team is 3-7 on Feb. 14 and 6-5 on Feb. 17.
