AIKEN, S.C. – The USCA men's soccer team lost a hard fought 1-0 contest to Flagler Wednesday afternoon in a PBC contest.
The Pacers are now 3-4-2 on the season, including 0-4 in league play.

Nick Sakiewicz's team attempted their first shot of the match off the boot of
Damian Rogers in the 26
th minute of action, but it was blocked.
USCA continued to play stellar defense throughout – and
Felipe Mattos registered another save in the 30
th minute.
The Pacers had a corner kick at the 34:44 mark, but the squad could not get a shot off the set piece.
At the half, the contest remained scoreless. A foul in the 50
th minute resulted in a penalty kick that the visitors converted for a 1-0 advantage.
Sergio Aspas tallied a header at the 51:33 mark that sailed wide of the goal.
Late in the match, USCA had a pair of outstanding chances to knot the score.
Jose Rabadan's attempt ricocheted off a defender by the goal line. Seconds later, Aspas fired an attempt from 20 yards out. The ball seemed destined for the upper right corner, but the keeper managed to register the save.
Sakiewicz's team earned a corner kick with 1:02 to play but was unable to find the back of the net off the set piece.
For the match, Aspas led the way with three shots, including one on target. Rabadan and Rogers also notched shots in the contest.
Mattos posted five saves while playing all 90 minutes between the pipes.
