GREENVILLE, S.C. – The No. 12 USCA golf team wrapped up the 54
th Furman Intercollegiate with an eighth-place finish Sunday afternoon.
Texas A&M won the tournament after shooting 23-under par. Furman (21-under par) and Wake Forest (19-under par) concluded the top three spots at the event.
The Pacers shot 12-over par, 864, for the 54-hole tournament. The squad shot scores of 295-281-288.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Karl Frisk's 19
th-place effort. He notched scores of 72-70-71 for an even-par, 213.
Erik Olin finished 23
rd in the 87-person field. He shot one-over par, 214. Olin accounted for scores of 74-69-71.
Oscar Abrahamsson shot six-over par, 219 and took 44
th place. He tallied scores of 73-71-75.
Mitchell McNeill accounted for a nine-over par, 222. He finished 58
th after shooting scores of 76-71-75.
Nick Goellner moved up 10 spots over the final 18 holes of play after shooting an even-par, 71. Goellner was 64th at 10-over par, 223. He opened with scores of 76-76 before shooting a 71 on Sunday.
The Pacers return to action Feb. 17-18 at the Wexford Invitational hosted by Francis Marion.
