AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 12 USCA golf team is set for the upcoming 54
th Furman Intercollegiate, which takes place Oct. 19-20 in Greenville, S.C.
The event marks the last fall tournament for the Pacers.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team will consist of
Oscar Abrahamsson,
Karl Frisk,
Nick Goellner,
Mitchell McNeill and
Erik Olin.
Olin leads the team with a 70.2 stroke average. He's shot par or better six times and has a top-five and top-10 finish to his credit this season. Olin's season-best round is 66.
Abrahamsson's 72.0 stroke average is second on the team. He's shot par or better six of the nine rounds this season, including a season-low 68.
Frisk's 72.7 stroke average is third on the team. In nine rounds of competition, he's been at par or better four times. Frisk's low round is 69.
McNeill's also shot par or better four times in nine rounds this season. His best round is a 68. McNeill carries a 73.1 stroke average into the tournament.
Goellner's competed in two tournaments and has shot par or better once, with a low round of 72. Currently, he carries a 74.7 stroke average.
The tournament will consist of three rounds, with the first two rounds being played on Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. It is a shotgun start and Carlisle's squad will begin competition on holes 13-16.
Other teams at the tournament include Campbell, Davidson, Francis Marion, Furman, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, Richmond, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Western Carolina, Western Kentucky, and Wofford.
