ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team lost a 3-2 decision at Flagler Friday evening.
The Pacers are now 9-4 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Glenn Cox's team was led by
Lexi Rogers' double-double effort of 14 kills and 13 digs.
Emily Lammers totaled 12 kills while
Cat Bodick notched eight kills and four blocks while hitting .385.
Gyöngyvér Araczki tallied seven kills while
Anna Sommer chipped in six kills. Sommer was outstanding at the net, registering five blocks, including two of the solo variety.
Mallory Barash garnered a double-double with 41 assists and 12 digs.
Kari Mercer totaled 13 digs and
Izabella De Lima chipped in nine digs.
In the first set, USC Aiken jumped out to a 6-1 lead. Up 2-1, Mercer served up an ace. Lammers followed it up with back-to-back kills before an error by the Saints gave the Pacers a five-point edge. After the home team pulled within one, a point by Lammers made it 13-11. Flagler knotted the score at 15-15. Down 18-15, Rogers hammered home a kill but the Saints went on a 7-2 run to clinch the opening frame.
In a tightly-contested second set, Flagler led 7-6 before a service error tied the frame. Another error by the home team and a kill from Rogers pushed the margin to 9-7 in favor of the visitors. Rogers added a kill before Sommer blocked a shot and Bodick tacked on a point for a 12-8 advantage. Leading 18-16, Barash found Bodick for a kill. Lammers and Bodick added back-to-back points for a 21-16 lead. Up 23-19, Araczki and Bodick blocked a shot before an error by the Saints ended the set at 25-19.
After dropping the third set 25-15, Cox's team regrouped and forced a fifth frame with an emphatic 25-16 victory in the fourth stanza. Leading 12-10, Rogers slammed home a pass from Barash. A ball handling error by the home team made it 14-10. Up by two, 15-13, Sommer, Lammers and Bodick responded with back-to-back-to-back kills, forcing a time-out. With the score at 19-15, a service error by the Saints gave the ball back to the Pacers. Rogers answered the bell with consecutive kills and the visitors cruised to the nine-point win.
Down 3-1 in the fifth stanza, Bodick sliced the defense with a kill. A miscue by the Saints made it 3-3. The teams traded the next two points. Flagler led 7-4 before an error by the home squad and an ace from Lammers made it 7-6. Trailing 11-7, Lammers posted a kill. Sommer blocked an attempt before Rogers pulled the team within one with another kill. The squads traded the next four points to make it 13-12 in favor of the Saints but that was as close as USC Aiken could get.
