Dixon's Career Day

Senior Demitrios Dixon had himself a day in the win over Francis Marion. The standout came off the bench and lit up the opposition with 15 points 23 minutes. For good measure, Dixon dished out seven assists. Both of the stats were career-best efforts.

Warming Up The Convo Quickly

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team jumped out to a 6-0 lead just 1:17 into the game and posted a 14-2 edge just 3:57 into the game after a three-point bucket by Tyler Johnson off a pass from Jameel Rideout.

School Record

Against the fast-paced Patriots, head coach Mark Vanderslice's team established a school record for three-point field goals attempted. In the first half, USC Aiken had 25 three-point attempts and drained nine of them. The squad followed it up with a seven-of-16 effort in the second period for a school-record 41 three-point field goal attempts.    

Dialing Up Long Distance

In the win over Francis Marion, USC Aiken drilled 16 three-point field goals. It marked the third-most three-point field goals the program has made in the Division II era. The school record is 20 (1/12/19 at North Georgia) while the squad also hit 17 against Columbus State (1/5/19). It was the sixth time in school history USC Aiken has hit 16 three-point field goals – and four have been since head coach Mark Vanderslice has been at the helm of the program.

Nearly Half The Time

In the team's lone game recently, USC Aiken corralled 45 rebounds. While eight were credited to the team, Chedlet Delva, Simeon German and Tehree Horn and combined for team-high honors with seven boards apiece. The trio combined for nearly half (21/45) of the team's rebounds in the win.  

Inside The Numbers

This week, the Pacers host Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, Dec. 30.  Since moving to Division II, USC Aiken is 232-178 (56.7 percent) in Saturday games. During the same time, the squad is 3-7 on Dec. 30.

Against The Opponent

This week, the Pacers host Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, Dec. 30. The Pacers hold a 17-12 edge in the all-time series against the Warriors, including 4-1 mark during the Division II era. Overall, the Pacers are 9-4 against SWU at home.
