Pacers Are Fifth In NCAA Southeast Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball team is fifth in the 2023 NCAA Division II Volleyball Southeast Region rankings, which were released Wednesday afternoon.

This marks the first time this season the teams have been placed in rank order. The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections on Nov. 20.

The Southeast Region consists of volleyball programs from the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and the Peach Belt Conference.

Head coach Glenn Cox's team is 15-9 overall and in region play. Lander sits in the top spot currently while Wingate and Augusta round out the top three schools. Anderson is fourth. Mount Olive is sixth while North Greenville, Lenoir-Rhyne, Emmanuel and Tusculum complete the 10 teams in the rankings.

Each league in the Southeast Region will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament while five at-large teams will comprise the eight-team Southeast Regional which will be held Nov. 30 – Dec. 3 at campus sites.
