Michael Sokolik Scores At Flagler

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 6-1 match at Flagler in the regular-season finale.

The Pacers are now 2-12-1 overall, including 2-8 in league play.

Rookie Michael Sokolik netted his first career goal at the 79:54 mark for the final tally of the match. After a bad clear attempt by the keeper, Sokolik gained possession and ripped a shot that found the back of the net for the score.

Head coach Ike Ofoje's team registered five shots in the match. The team also earned a pair of corner kicks against the Saints.

Cason Donahue was tested in the early going and he quickly turned away a pair of shots on goal by the Saints in the first 10 minutes of action. In the first half, Donahue stopped four shots but Flagler held a 3-0 lead at the break.

The home squad scored three more goals in the second period before Sokolik broke through for USC Aiken's goal.

Donahue played all 90 minutes between the pipes and stopped five shots.

For the match, Izan Hernandez, Lucas Pegorer, Jose Rabadan, Sokolik and Diego Vega each accounted for shots.
