ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team saw its season come to a close with a 5-0 loss in the PBC Tournament at Flagler Monday evening.
The Pacers wrap up the season with a record of 2-13-1.
The Saints got on the board in the seventh minute for what turned out to be the match-winning score.
Michael Sokolik registered a shot two minutes later, but his attempt sailed left of the frame.
After
Cason Donahue kept the Saints at bay with a pair of saves,
Finlay Dyer tried to knot the score at 1-1 in the 33
rd minute but his attempt was high.
Down 2-0 late in the first half,
Jose Rabadan's shot on goal was thwarted by the keeper. Rabadan nearly brought USC Aiken within one just prior to halftime but once again his shot was stopped.
Lucas Pegorer took the ball just nine seconds before intermission and rocketed a shot that missed just left of the post, keeping the score at 2-0.

Ike Ofoje's team trailed 4-0 with just under seven minutes to go and the team continued to push forward. Pegorer's shot on goal was saved at the 83:45 mark. With less than three minutes to play,
Jaymee Kambel's shot was blocked. Flagler added a goal with 96 seconds remaining for the final tally.
For the match, Rabadan posted two shots on goal while Pegorer had two shots, including one on target. Dyer, Kambel and Sokolik all tallied shots in the match.
Donahue played all 90 minutes in goal. He accounted for six saves.
