Pacers Fall To Nighthawks

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team lost a 6-0 decision to North Georgia Wednesday afternoon.

The Pacers are now 1-7-2 on the season, including an 0-6-2 ledger in PBC play.

The Nighthawks struck for a goal at the 2:13 mark for an early 1-0 lead.

Head coach Adam Kleman's team registered its first shot attempt at the 13:21 mark as Avery List ripped an attempt, but it was blocked by the visitors.

Late in the first period, UNG posted another goal off a penalty kick for a 2-0 margin heading into halftime.

Brooke Salerno nearly made it 2-1 in the 51st minute. Her high-powered attempt hit the left post though, leaving it at a 2-0 score. The visitors tacked on four more goals in the period.

In the 87th minute, Reagan Leonard's shot was stopped by the keeper.

For the match, Kleman's squad totaled three shots, including one on goal. Kaydence Moore played all 90 minutes between the pipes and had six saves.
