AMERICUS, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Georgia Southwestern Saturday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 1-6-2 on the season, including a mark of 0-5-2 in league action.
Head coach
Adam Kleman's team had a solid opportunity in the 33
rd minute of action.
Shiloh Pirro corralled the ball and rocketed a shot toward the frame but it was thwarted by the keeper. Moments later,
Carmen Jones and
Karis Coleman each had attempts. However, neither were on goal, leaving the contest scoreless at the break.
Kaydence Moore kept the home squad off the board with a save at the 49:11 mark. The Hurricanes had another shot in the 53
rd minute but it missed to the left.
Pirro registered a shot in the 57
th minute of work but it sailed just right of the goal.
Moore continued to be up for the task between the pipes. With just over 22 minutes to play, she once again turned away a shot.
Pirro had two shots in the waning moments but the one on goal was saved by the keeper. GSW had a shot as time expired but it was not on target.
Pirro had four of the team's six shots, including both of which were on goal. Coleman and Jones each had shots in the tie.
Moore had four saves in the shutout while playing all 90 minutes of action in goal.
