Malone Delivers

Rookie Annalise Malone delivered a double-double in the victory over Georgia College & State last Wednesday. Malone connected on 13 points while snagging a game-high 10 rebounds, including four on the offensive glass. For good measure, the newcomer swatted a pair of shots.

Sharing Is Caring

In the win over the Bobcats, head coach Mark Miller's team shared the ball extremely well. The team dished out 16 assists on 30 field goals. This included 13 from the Trushel sisters – seven from Delaney Trushel and six from Emily Trushel

Swatting Shots

In the win over GCSU, USC Aiken swatted 10 shots. Overall, five student-athletes registered at least one block. Hailey Unger managed to block a career-high four shots while Annalise Malone and Delaney Trushel had two blocks apiece. Emily Trushel and Marta Rivera each blocked one shot.

Six In Double Figures

Against GCSU, head coach Mark Miller's team had six student-athletes reach double figures in the scoring column. It marked the first time in recent history USC Aiken has reached that accomplishment. Emily Trushel led the squad with 15 points while Annalise Malone and Delaney Trushel had 13 points apiece. Hailey Unger tallied 10 points while Breanna Gustave and Marta Rivera each contributed 10 markers.

Playing The Top Team Tough

USC Aiken pushed No. 10 Georgia Southwestern to the brink over the weekend before falling 75-72. The Pacers forced 17 turnovers in the game and limited the opposition to a mere three-for-15 from downtown. USC Aiken held the visitors to seven assists on 27 baskets, forcing a lot of one-on-one play.
