AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team posted an 89-79 victory over Georgia College & State Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 11-4 on the season, including 4-1 in league play.
Jalen McCoy led the way with a game-high 20 points on seven-of-13 shooting in 25 minutes of work. He also pulled down five rebounds and dished out three assists.
Jameel Rideout accounted for 17 points and three assists while
Tehree Horn notched 16 points, seven boards and four assists.
Tyler Johnson chipped in nine points and three steals.
Jammy Pierre-Louis accounted for eight points.

Mark Vanderslice's team trailed 10-3 in the early going but the home team quickly responded with a 7-0 spurt to tie it on a three-ball from Johnson. Leading 28-23, Horn took a pass from McCoy and nailed a shot from distance. Horn's two free throws pushed the score to 33-23.
Christopher Brown hit a three-point shot as did Rideout, extending the advantage to 39-23.
USC Aiken held a 44-29 lead at the break thanks in part to Johnson's three-point bucket with five ticks on the clock.
Although the Pacers pushed the margin to 19 on a pair of occasions, the visitors managed to cut the deficit to eight at 68-60.
Daniel Parrish hit two free throws, extending the lead back to double digits. From that point forward, the Pacers never let the lead dwindle any closer than nine. Up by nine, 86-77, Rideout found Horn for the three-point basket with 52 seconds to play.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 28-of-64 from the floor, including 15-of-31 from downtown. The team canned 18-of-21 from the charity stripe. Vanderslice's team had 38 points off the bench and converted 13 turnovers into 18 points in the victory.
