Each week, the University of South Carolina Aiken will produce notes. This week, USC Aiken hosts Georgia College & State on Wednesday, Jan. 11 before entertaining Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Season-Best Effort 

In the win at Lander, USC Aiken standout Tehree Horn erupted for a season-high 26 points, including 12 from downtown. It marked the fourth time this season Horn netted at least 21 points – and bested his previous season high of 25 in the win over Clayton State. Last year, Horn scored at least 20 points eight times, including a career-best 30 in the victory over the Lakers.

Gaining The Advantage

To say the all-time series against Lander is tight is an understatement. With the victory on Wednesday, the Pacers now hold a 54-52 edge in the all-time series against the Bearcats. 

Four Net Double Figures

In the loss to Flagler, head coach Mark Vanderslice's team was unable to overcome an early 19-3 deficit despite getting within four throughout the contest. IN the game, the Pacers still had four student-athletes reach double figures. The team was led by Jalen McCoy's 17 points. Tehree Horn added 14 points while Karon Boyd and Jameel Rideout added 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

Inside The Numbers  

This week, USC Aiken hosts Georgia College & State on Wednesday, Jan. 11 before entertaining Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, Jan. 14. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 134-133 (50.2 percent) in Wednesday games and 223-176 (55.9 percent) in Saturday contests. During the same time, the squad is 5-3 on Jan. 11 and 5-3 on Jan. 14. 

Against The Opponents
