AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer standout
Caitlin Thomason has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 18, 2022.
Thomason, a freshman from Apex, N.C., helped USC Aiken pick up a point in league play with a tie against Clayton State.
The rookie entered the match at No. 23 Flagler in the first half and played the final 62 minutes between the pipes. She gave up just one goal and had a pair of saves against the Saints.
In the home opener against the Lakers, Thomason got the starting nod and played all 90 minutes in goal. She stopped three shots in the shutout tie.
For the year, Thomason has an .857 save percentage and is sporting just a 0.63 goals against average.
