Four Named All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Four University of South Carolina Aiken student-athletes have been named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the GCAA.

Leonardo Bono, Charlie Denvir, Leo Johansson and Björn Rosengren recently picked up the accolades recently.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 40-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Bono, a native of Rivera, Switzerland, tallied a 72.7 stroke average. He registered three top-10 finishes on the season.

Denvir, a native of Blackrock, Ireland, earned PBC all-tournament team honors. He notched a 72.8 stroke average and had one top-five finish on the season.

Johansson, a native of Djuro, Sweden, led the team with a 71.1 stroke average. The honorable mention All-American garnered three top-five finishes and another top-10 effort.
