GREENWOOD, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout Emily Ayers has been named to the 2022 PBC All-Tournament Team.

Ayers, a sophomore catcher from North Augusta, S.C., had a solid performance en route to earning all-tournament team accolades.

She went two-for-four at the plate on the day, including a three-run home run. Ayers singled to lead off the sixth inning and she was able to bat again in the seventh.

Trailing 6-3 in the top of the seventh, Ayers stepped to the plate with one down and promptly crushed a 1-0 pitch over the left field fence, forcing extra innings while knotting the game at 6-6.

In the field, Ayers had seven putouts.
