AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team cruised to an 18-4 victory over Coker Tuesday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 10-12 on the season.
Interim head coach
Michael Holder's team batted around in the first frame while plating six runs.
Josh Sharp's base hit drove in

Kaden Blankenship's double scored
Jackson Hannon while
Dalton Graves' base hit allowed Blankenship to cross home plate.
Scott Huntley doubled home Graves and
Tyler Littlefield's base hit pushed across Huntley for a 6-0 lead.
In the second frame, Blankenship drove in Hannon.
Jose Hernandez reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Blankenship to cross home. Huntley's single to left scored
Carson Suess for a 9-0 advantage.
USC Aiken scored four runs in the third inning. Blaneknship drove in McQuillan on a single while Graves' double plated Hannon. Blankenship scored on when the third baseman committed a throwing error and Huntley's base knock scored Graves for a 13-0 margin.
A sacrifice fly from Hannon pushed the score to 14-0 in the bottom of the fourth. The score remained the same until the seventh. With one away,
Cade Combs picked up an infield single to put runners on first and second.
Joseph Mozingo doubled home Sharp while Combs stopped at third. On the ensuing pitch,
Tucker Rabun's groundout plated Combs to make it 16-0. Moments later, McQuillan singled home Mozingo. Hannon's base knock scored Huntley, making it 18-0.
The pitching staff was outstanding.
Grant Stanford worked the first three innings and had a pair of strikeouts.
Luke Parker came in and tossed three scoreless frames. He struck out five and gave up two hits while picking up the win.
Peyton Boozer struck out three batters in the seventh inning while
Austin Hohm tossed a scoreless eighth with one strikeout.
Connor O'Rear came in to work the ninth inning. He picked up a strikeout in the frame.
At the plate, Hannon and McQuillan had four hits apiece. Blankenship, Graves, Huntley and Littlefield notched three hits apiece. Blankenship led the way with four RBI while Huntley knocked in three. Graves and Hannon had two RBI apiece. Blankenship and Hannon each crossed home three times. Graves, Huntley, McQuillan and Sharp all crossed home once.
