Newberry posted two runs in the third, one in the fourth and sixth in the sixth for a 9-0 edge. However, Holder's team plated five runs in the seventh frame.
Littlefield came in as a pinch hitter and delivered a base knock up the middle. With one down, Mozingo singled to right. McQuillan's base hit plated Littlefield.
The Wolves changed pitchers but Cyr answered with a hit to left center, scoring Mozingo. Sharp's hit loaded the bags.
With two down, everyone moved up 90 feet on a wild pitch. Tripp's single to right center plated Cyr and Sharp. However, that was as close as the team would get as the home squad tacked on a run in the seventh and two in the eighth for the final tally.
