AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken jumped on top of Anderson early and never looked back in the 83-61 victory Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 1-2 on the season.

Mark Vanderslice's team was led by
Tehree Horn's double-double effort of 21 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of work.
Karon Boyd and
Tyler Johnson added 17 points apiece. Boyd snagged five boards while Johnson distributed four of the team's 11 assists.
DeShawn Thomas went for nine points and blocked four shots.
Horn got things started by netting the first five points of the game and Boyd's lay-up pushed the margin to 7-0 just 2:47 into the game. Leading 17-14,
Demitrios Dixon buried a three-ball off a pass from
Daniel Parrish. Johnson canned a shot from distance before Horn netted the net three points for a 26-14 lead.
The Pacers closed the half on a 6-0 run, ending with a lay-up by Thomas with 38 ticks on the clock for a 39-20 lead heading into the second half.
USC Aiken pushed the margin to 20 at the 13:53 mark when Thomas buried a pair of free throws to make it 51-31.
Leading 55-45, Horn started an 11-0 spurt with a jumper. Horn found Boyd for a three-ball. Horn drilled a jumper in the paint. After a steal and dunk from Boyd, Johnson hit a lay-up for the 66-45 advantage, essentially putting the game away with 6:06 to go. Boyd's lay-up with 3:50 to play made it 72-49.
For the game, USC Aiken hit 35-of-68 from the floor (51.5 percent). The team held a 39-33 advantage on the glass. USC Aiken also scored 27 points off turnovers and registered 16 points on the break.
