AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken is pleased to announce that student assistant Bobby Walters has been selected for the 2022-2023 National Association of Athletic Ticket Sales & Operations (NAATSO) Mentorship Program Class.

Walters, a senior business administration major with a concentration in management, has worked with the Department of Athletics in various roles since the spring of 2021. He has handled various ticket operations duties, assisted with all functions of the athletic business office, assisted with marketing and promotion efforts, assisted with athletic communications and has helped in compliance.

Walters is the lone Division II person in the mentee or mentor role. 

"The NAATSO Board is thrilled to announce the fifth NAATSO Mentoring Program pairings for the 2022-23 year," stated NAATSO President, Matthew Carson, Senior Associate AD for Revenue Generation & Ticket Strategy at the University of North Texas. "Each year, our applicant pools reflect our unique and dynamically changing ticketing industry. Our leadership team has selected nine mentors and mentees to participate in the 2022-23 program. This program continues to provide an outstanding opportunity to connect with collegiate ticketing industry leaders as they look to move forward in their careers. Welcome to the program, and I look forward to hearing about all of the strong connections forged throughout this upcoming year."

Each pair is asked to connect bi-monthly at a minimum and be an active NAATSO member. In addition, each mentee will receive a complimentary stipend to attend the 2023 NAATSO Convention, June 11-14, at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Florida.
