GREENWOOD, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision at Lander Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 1-8 overall, including 1-6 against league foes. The Bearcats stand at 6-2-4 on the year, including a 5-0-2 mark against conference opponents.

Ike Ofoje's team played outstanding defense in the opening half, resulting in a scoreless contest at the half.
USC Aiken was unable to get a shot off in the first 45 minutes of action. However, between solid defense preventing great shots by the Bearcats and
Tyler Hughes coming up big with six saves, the Pacers played to a knotted score at the break.
Ofoje's team fell behind in the 53
rd minute. A minute later, a foul in the box resulted in a penalty kick, which Lander converted for a 2-0 advantage.
The Pacers went on the attack moments later, but
Kadin DeMesme's shot was stopped, keeping the score at 2-0. The home squad added its third goal in the 83rd minute of action.
For the match, Hughes registered six saves.
