AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to Flagler Wednesday afternoon in a league match.
The Pacers are now 2-9 overall, including 1-7 in PBC action. The Saints improve to 6-3-3 on the year and 5-2-2 against conference competition.
Kadin DeMesme nearly got the Pacers on the board in the 22
nd minute of play. He received the pass and made a cut to the right 20 yards out before blasting a shot that narrowly skipped over the crossbar, keeping the contest scoreless.
In the 39
th minute, USC Aiken was whistled for a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick that the Saints converted for a 1-0 lead.
In the 58
th minute of action,
Davide Panucci registered a shot on frame that was saved.
Solon Pinto's attempt at the 60:43 mark sailed inches over the crossbar.

Wynston Johnson took a pass on a break-away. He one-timed the ball but the keeper managed to get a hand on it for the save. In the 80
th minute of action, Johnson nearly found the back of the net again. However, his shot hit the post.
For the match,
Cason Donahue registered eight saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal. DeMesme and Johnson each had three shots to lead the way for USC Aiken.
