2021-22 Schedule
AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head men's basketball coach
Mark Vanderslice, is pleased to announce the 2021-22 schedule.
"We're really excited about this year's schedule," Vanderslice said. "Each season we look to adequately prepare our team for conference and tournament play. The best way to accomplish this is to gain battle-tested experience through competition against some of the best teams in the country. Our strength of schedule should fully equip us to be mentally and physically ready for Peach Belt play."
The Pacers kick off the season with the Region Challenge hosted by Clayton State on Nov. 12-13. Vanderslice's squad squares off against Tusculum (Nov. 12) prior to facing Lincoln Memorial a day later.
USC Aiken opens its home slate with a date against Allen on Nov. 20. From there, the Pacers head to Florida Southern (Nov. 23) and Belmont Abbey (Nov. 26) before returning to the Convocation Center to host Wingate on Nov. 29.
Vanderslice's team makes the trek to St. Augustine's on Dec. 1 before a three-game homestand heading into the holiday break. On Dec. 4, the squad hosts Fayetteville State. After final exams, the team takes on St. Augustine's on Dec. 12. USC Aiken begins league play in front of the home crowd against Georgia Southwestern on Dec. 16.
After the break, the Pacers hit the road for a return game against Wingate on Dec. 31. The team hosts rival Lander on Jan. 5 before hitting the road for a three-game stretch.
Vanderslice's squad plays at Flagler on Jan. 8 before heading to Milledgeville for a showdown at Georgia College on Jan. 12. USC Aiken returns to the Peach State three days later when it makes t trek to Georgia Southwestern.
The first contest in the spring semester with the students back on campus is a Jan. 19 game against Clayton State. Three days later, Vanderslice's team entertains Young Harris.
The Pacers travel to Augusta on Jan. 26 prior to hosting North Georgia three days later.
USC Aiken hits the road for a three-game stretch starting Feb. 2 at Columbus State. Vanderslice's squad heads to Lander on Feb. 5 prior to completing the road stretch Feb. 7 at Clayton State.
The Pacers host four of their next five opponents, beginning with Georgia College on Feb. 9. Three days later, the Saints come to town for Homecoming. USC Aiken concludes the homestand against rival Augusta on Feb. 16.
After hitting the road for a game at Young Harris (Feb. 19), the Pacers conclude the home portion of the slate against Columbus State Feb. 23.
USC Aiken wraps up the regular season Feb. 26 at North Georgia before PBC Tournament play begins March 1.
