GREENWOOD, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's soccer team lost a 6-0 decision at Lander Wednesday evening.
The Pacers are now 1-5 overall and 0-3 in league action. Lander improved to 5-2 on the year and 2-0 against conference foes.
Less than a minute into the match,
Mohamed Abdallah recorded the first shot of the match, but it was blocked. The home squad scored at the 3:42 mark for a 1-0 edge.

Ike Ofoje's team pushed forward, looking for the equalizer.
Davide Panucci had a shot and the team earned a corner kick in the 16
th minute. Abdallah had another shot, but it sailed just wide of the frame. The Bearcats pushed the advantage to 2-0 in the 22
nd minute. Lander extended the margin to 3-0 with just over 10 minutes before halftime.
Lander made it 6-0 with three rapid goals within the first 10 minutes after halftime.
Panucci's shot at the 72:12 mark was blocked and
Fabian Avila fired a shot on goal, but it was saved by the keeper.
Felipe Cerda and
Joey Valenti each played 45 minutes between the pipes. Both registered four saves and allowed three goals.
