Kyle Ready was presented with the Warrick Student-Athlete Leadership Award Monday evening at the Student Life Leadership Banquet.
Ready, a cross country student-athlete from Aiken, S.C. was presented the award from head coach
Lauren Etheridge.
A nursing major, Ready was a PBC all-academic team selection. In each of the four races during the 2020 campaign, he established new personal-best times.
Ready's time of 31:38 was good enough for sixth place at the USC Aiken Invitational. His personal-best time of 31:25.4 at the PBC Championship earned him a 45
th-place finish and the time was over four minutes faster than his 2019 effort at the league race.
The award was named after Randy Warrick, the previous Director of Athletics and a champion for both our student-athletes and their overall leadership development. The award is given to a student who stands out both within their respective sport and everywhere else.
Other nominees for the award were Amanda Bates and Lauryn Laslie.
