AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout Jakobi Pearson has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2021.

Pearson, a junior guard from Dallas, Texas, guided the Pacers to a 1-0 week.

In the lone game of the week, Pearson poured in a game-high 22 points. He buried eight-of-nine shots from the floor, connecting on 88.9 percent of his attempts.

Pearson was two-for-three from the three-point stripe. He also canned all four free throw attempts. For good measure, Pearson recorded five steals, had three rebounds and dished out an assist in 33 minutes of work.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student- Athlete of the week honors one student- athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
