Throughout the 2020 season, the USC Aiken Athletic Communications office will provide weekly notes, giving all of Pacer Nation an in-depth look at the team.
Mills Can Mash It
Last weekend, USC Aiken had three road games at UNC Pembroke.
Alex Mills recorded the team's lone long-distance shot of the weekend. In the top of the first inning in game two of the series, Mills launched a 1-2 pitch high over the left field wall, giving the Pacers a 3-0 advantage.
Two Pick Up Three
In the final game of the series,
Jeff Cyr and
Jackson Hannon each hammered out three hits at UNC Pembroke. Cyr and Hannon had a double apiece in the outing. The dyad accounted for six of the team's 14 hits in the game.
McGirt's Big Knock
For the second consecutive Sunday,
Eric McGirt blasted a double that plated numerous runners. In the sixth frame against the Braves, he ripped a double to right center field, scoring
Marcus Mastellone,
Sean McQuillan and
Jackson Hannon.
It's Intentional
After
Luke Leisenring had a field day in each contest against UNC Pembroke, the Braves decided his bat would not hurt them anymore. UNC Pembroke registered two intentional walks to Leisenring in the series finale.
