AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken baseball team placed six student-athletes on the PBC all-academic team, which was released Tuesday.
Cary Holloway,
Sean McQuillan,
Blake Seigler,
Mitch Spence,
Daniel Wiggins and
Jon Yarbrough were all name to the team.
Holloway has a 3.329 GPA in exercise and sport science while McQuillan owns a 3.963 GPA in business administration. Seigler carries a 3.675 GPA in business administration while Spence sports a 3.782 GPA in business administration.
Wiggins accounts for a 3.59 GPA in business administration and Yarbrough has a 3.59 GPA in chemistry.
The team is part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
