Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Pacers Defeat Big Blues, 4-2

FLORENCE, S.C. – The No. 19 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team posted a 4-2 win at Bluefield State Sunday morning.

The Pacers are now 9-0 overall, while the Big Blues fall to 3-4 overall.

USC Aiken snagged two out of three doubles matches. Top-seeded Salvador Bandeira and Antonio Sabugueiro notched a 6-4 victory, while Vicente Andrades and Tales Silva cruised to a 6-2 win at No. 2. 

Head coach Steve Dahm's team picked up three wins in singles action. Silva bested the No. 1 player 6-3, 6-7, 6-1. Sabugueiro, playing at No. 2, defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-3. Bandeira also won out by tallying a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6.

The Pacers return to action Saturday, March 23 when they head to Georgia Southwestern at 2:30 p.m.
