COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team garnered a 4-0 win at Benedict Friday.
The Pacers are now 3-0 on the season.
Head coach
Steve Dahm's team won No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, taking a 1-0 lead heading into singles action. The squad also won at No. 3 doubles via forfeit.
Top-seeded
Victoria Giannaccini and
Alice Neves combined for a 6-3 victory at the top doubles spot.
Karina Blas and
Edith Croda took home a 6-0 victory at the No. 2 slot.
Facing only four student-athletes in singles competition, USC Aiken took a 3-0 advantage via wins by default at No. 3 and No. 4. The squad ended up taking the victory with a forfeit at No. 4.
The Pacers return to action tomorrow when they host Coker at 1 p.m.
