COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 18 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team posted a 4-0 win at Benedict Friday afternoon.
The Pacers are now 2-0 on the season.
Salvador Bandeira and
Antonio Sabugueiro notched a 6-1 win at the No. 1 doubles spot.
Vicente Andrades and
Tales Silva combined for a 6-2 victory at No. 2 while
Francesco Satta and
Alex Sklizovic took home a 6-2 win as well.
Leading 1-0 heading into singles play, Sabugueiro accounted for a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3. Andrades won by the same score at No. 4 while Satta was up 3-1 before his opponent retired, giving him the victory.
With the competition clinched at 4-0, Silva, Bandeira and Sklizovic did not complete their matches.
It marked the 400
th career victory at USC Aiken for head coach
Steve Dahm.
The Pacers return to action tomorrow when they host Coker at 1 p.m.
