Throughout the 2018-19 season, the USC Aiken Athletic Communications office will provide weekly notes, giving all of Pacer Nation an in-depth look at the team.
Filling It Up
Senior
Ty'lik Evans poured in a game-high 32 points in the win over UNC Pembroke. He drained nine-of-16 from the floor, including six-of-11 from the three-point stripe and he made all eight of his charity tosses. For good measure, Evans had seven steals, five assists and five rebounds in 37 minutes of action.
Hill Playing As Big As A Mountain
Robert Hill played 25 minutes in the win over UNC Pembroke – and he made every minute count. Hill posted 10 points and snagged a game-best eight rebounds. He also swatted a pair of shots in the win. It was also his help on the offensive glass that propelled USC Aiken to 11 second-chance points. Hill pulled down five boards on the offensive end of the court.
Brock's Big Game
With three guards that can go off for 20-plus points, it was
Faison Brock who had a quiet, but huge night for USC Aiken in the win over the Braves. Brock hit eight-of-13 from the floor, including two-of-five from the three-point stripe. In the first half against the Braves, Brock poured in 16 points as the Pacers held a 50-48 halftime margin.
Seven Up
Junior
Xzavier Barmore was scoreless for much of the game against UNC Pembroke. However, he got into the scoring column with a lay-up late in the game. That gave him momentum and he promptly scored seven straight points for the Pacers.
Human Highlight Reel
Rookie
Shaquan Jules has a huge presence on the court. The rookie played 16 minutes against the Braves and promptly hit four-of-five from the floor for eight points. Despite having some range, Jules has become a human highlight reel with his array of dunks – some coming off of lobs, some off of put-back and others off fast breaks.
In The Lane
In an up-and-down game against the Braves, players from each position got in the scoring column. Despite deft shooters from downtown, USC Aiken scored 55 of its 90 points in the paint.
Three Over 20
A trio of Pacers poured in at least 20 points in the win at Lander.
Doniel Dean scored a team-best 28 points.
Xzavier Barmore added 25 points while
Ty'lik Evans chipped in 23 markers. The trio combined to shoot 28-of-55 from the floor.
White Out
The first 400 students and 200 non-students through the door on Wednesday, Feb. 27, will receive a "White Out" t-shirt. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The school will also attempt to break a Convocation Center attendance record at the doubleheader.
