FLORENCE, S.C. – The No. 19 University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 win at Francis Marion Tuesday afternoon in the league opener.
The Pacers are now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Patriots are now 4-2 on the year and 0-1 in the PBC.

Steve Dahm's squad took the doubles point with a clean sweep.
Alex Sklizovic and
Francesco Satta tallied a 6-4 win at No. 3. Top-seeded
Salvador Bandeira and
Antonio Sabugueiro clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at No. 1. Second-seeded
Vicente Andrades and
Tales Silva needed a bit longer to prevail 7-6.
Sabugueiro gave the visitors a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 singles spot. Andrades posted a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 slot.
Top-seeded Silva garnered a 6-4, 6-2 win at the top singles position for a 4-0 advantage.
Despite already clinching the victory, the squads played out the rest of the matches. Bandeira garnered a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 2 while Satta closed things out with a three-set victory at No. 6 by scores of 3-6, 7-6, 10-7.
The Pacers return to action Sunday when they host Limestone at 12 p.m.
